Toledo Opera Guild’s “Night and Day” Event Puts Toledo Opera Over Its Annual Crescendo Campaign Goal

Toledo, OH - Barbara Brown and Barbara Baumgartner, current and future Presidents of the Toledo Opera Guild, presented a check for $12,000 to the Toledo Opera Board of Trustees at their May 20th meeting. Guild members had designated Toledo Opera’s Crescendo Campaign as the recipient of funds raised from their Night and Day Fashion Shows on May 7 and 8, 2008. Presenting two identical shows, one in the evening and one at noon the following day, was an innovative way of increasing participation and financial support for Toledo Opera.

The gift of $12,000 put Toledo Opera over the annual goal for its Crescendo Campaign. The campaign’s goals are targeted toward building the opera’s endowment fund and supporting its goal of providing Toledo area audiences with opera productions of the highest standard.
