The 2009-2010 season has been a
year of celebratory performances in honor of Toledo Opera’s
50th Anniversary. Over
the course of its illustrious history, the Opera has presented
some of the most exciting singers on the musical scene. On
May 2, 2009, the Opera will cap off its 50th year with a
performance of Leonard Bernstein’s operetta Candide at
the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle at 7:30 pm. This performance
will be followed by a special anniversary party in honor
of Toledo Opera at the Toledo Club in the main dining room.
Proceeds from the party will benefit
the Opera’s educational
programs. The cost of the party is $75 per person which includes
delicious hors d’oeuvres including Calamari Fritti,
Smoked Chicken Spring Rolls, Carpacio di Manzo, Caviar Cheese
Blintzes, Datteri secchi con Prosciutto and much more!
You can also dance the night away to the exciting sounds
of the Hepcat Revival Band.
