50th Anniversary of the Sapphire Ball

The 50th Annual Sapphire Ball will once again take center stage on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza, downtown Toledo. The event will feature music from the band Intrigue. The 'Crown Jewel' of the Sapphire Ball 2010 will be the auctioning of a spectacular diamond, pearl necklace, sapphire and white gold pendant combination specifically commissioned for the event and donated by Lisa Barrow of Barrow's Jewelers.

This lovely black tie event raises approximately 10% of the Opera’s annual income making the Sapphire Ball the single most important fundraising activity in support of Toledo Opera’s mission: to produce opera performances of the highest quality here in northwest Ohio and to offer educational programming that reaches 20,000 school children each year.
